The school uniform consists of:
Winter: Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo; Pale blue short sleeved Polo Shirt with school logo (available from recommended suppliers) and a grey skirt/trousers. Plain black, grey, dark blue or white socks. Preferably black shoes.
Alternative Summer Uniform (if preferred): Girls – pale blue/white gingham dress with royal blue cardigan, white socks.
Boys – short sleeved pale blue Polo Shirt with school logo with grey trousers/shorts, plain black, grey or dark blue socks. Sandals may be worn during the summer but these must not be flip flops or have toe-posts. They must have a proper fastening so they cannot slip off and they must be flat (i.e. no heels).
All children also need a folder – preferably a school book bag - to put their reading book in. These may be obtained from the uniform suppliers.
Shorts, royal blue tee shirt with school logo (essential when representing the school in inter-school sports and competitions) and plimsolls are required by all pupils.
Yrs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 need a games kit; including outdoor PE shoes (e.g. trainers) and a one-piece swimming costume for girls and swimming trunks for boys. Parents are also advised that children have a tracksuit for cold weather, but an old warm jumper and trousers are just as effective.
Children are expected to have a PE kit in school at all times. A child who does not have his/her kit will not be able to participate in PE lessons for health and safety reasons. Parents will be informed if their child regularly does not have his/her PE kit in school.
Parents are asked that all clothing should be clearly named.
Unclaimed uniform may be disposed of after a suitable period of time.
All the children are expected to dress appropriately for school having regard that on occasions they will be in contact with paint, clay, wood, glue, cookery items and a variety of other materials. It is suggested that an old shirt worn back to front makes an excellent overall.
Make up and the use of nail varnish are not acceptable at any time.
Pupils may only wear stud earrings and/or a watch as jewellery.
A spare pair of shoes / trainers is requested for each pupil so that they can change their shoes for playtime.
Extreme hairstyles are not allowed. Hair that is longer than shoulder length must be tied up.
