We hosted our first concert to allow children who play instruments to showcase their talents. We were extremely proud of their courage and determination.

The whole school (EYFS - Year 6) worked with Jules and Ffion from Finding the Will to learn about Shakespeare's Macbeth. The whole school put on a performance for parents, carers and friends at the end of the week. We built this into our school curriculum and were able to practise our drama skills, speaking and listening, English, art and design and much more!

"Sometimes - not often - you walk into a school and feel immediately at home. Every single member of staff smiles at you and wants to have a conversation and the conversation is easy. We've never met before but we are able to converse with ease. Then we meet the children and see the staff working with them. There is a visible connection between the head teacher and staff and the staff and pupils. The nurturing, encouraging, warmth and care shown is reflected in the lovely, rounded young people that are emerging from Barkston and Syston Primary School.
