Future Me – a bespoke personal development programme

We recognise the ever-changing world and needs of pupils in today’s society. We know that pupils are influenced by factors in their home environment, their community and elsewhere. We teach pupils how to build their confidence and resilience but now recognise the need to develop how well young people draw on this.

We know the role we play in preparing pupils for their adult lives, teaching them to understand how to engage with society and providing them with plentiful opportunities to do so. Our bespoke ‘Future Me’ programme provides a wealth of opportunities to prepare our pupils for adult life, equip them with essential skills to compete in the future job landscape and to live fulfilling lives.

Our ‘Future Me’ curriculum will adapt and evolve to meet the needs of our pupils. Through research (for example, researching the job roles our pupils are likely to do in 2040 and 2050), pupil surveys and staff knowledge, we have designed a personal development curriculum to support their wider development.
