Homework for the Autumn Term (2018)

This term, homework for Year 1 and 2 will be - 

  • To read every day.
  • To practise spellings every day, and to write sentences.                          Yr1s will continue learning words from the 100 High Frequency Word list.                                Yr2s will initially be recapping the words from the 100 HFW list as these are words they MUST be spelling correctly in ALL of their written work.
  • Yr1 to know the number bonds to 10 and 20.
  • Yr2 to work on developing their recall speed of the 2x table and 3x table, and to learn the related division facts.  


Homework books should be handed in on a Thursday morning. 

Homework books will be given back to children on a Friday.

There will be spelling and maths assessments on a Friday morning.


Written homework should take no longer than 20 minutes each week.
